Write with your audience’s questions in mind
Category: General
Tags: seo

SEO today is increasingly driven by natural language search, that is, people doing searches that are more like normal questions than two or three keywords. At one time, directories like DMOZ were a good place to add listings and get backlinks. However, these large web directories aren’t really relevant anymore. Optimizing for local SEO means more than just making sure your location is clear. You can also use it to show opening hours, reviews and phone numbers (which smartphone users can click to instantly call). Solving real customer problems is a major key to mastering evergreen content marketing.

Write with your audience’s questions in mind

When you’re spending good money on SEO, it’s common to obsess over your keyword rankings. SEO can be quite complicated, but you can absolutely develop a keyword strategy and take care of the essentials on your own. What Google wants to see is authoritative and relatable links talking about your site. How recently your webpage was published is also a ranking signal – but different types of searches have different freshness needs, such as searches for recent events, hot topics, and regularly recurring events.2

Structuring the entire page

There’s no clear formula, or single answer for the minimum amount of content a page should have. Some sources suggest having at least 600-700 words of content on every page. The sheer apparent complexity of SEO is enough to turn some people away entirely. The convergence of SEO and content has been a driving force in marketing for the past few years. Google has always encouraged webmasters to make their primary focus one of providing a good user experience. As the algorithm gets “smarter”, websites that do so are positioned to benefit the most.

Preserve Your Valuable Links

To a larger degree, your backlink profile is made up of backlinks from external sites (also known as referring domains) that contribute to the overall strength, relevance and diversity of your domain’s backlink profile. Domain to page relevancy means the page linking to your website is relevant to your domain. Links pointing to your site help Google discover new pages on your site. It also, traditionally, is regarded as a signal of popularity. The site linking to your content is essentially telling Google they trust your content. According to SEO Consultant, Gaz Hall: "If a person goes looking for a company or product by name, Google will steer them towards what they’re looking for."

Quality Content

There are other things that you can do to get contextual links, such as guest bloggingand mentioning other sites in your content (and letting them know about it). No matter what niche your website is in, when you start writing an article, always provide helpful and actionable guidance. If you are giving the users the information they want, your content can be as long as you need. Making your content easy to read and understand helps make it useful to your readers. Some experts also believe that Google takes readability into account when ranking webpages. Your website must be set up to track the sources of conversions accurately; otherwise, you won't know which search engines produce the most leads—and you won't be able to continuously improve your SEO campaign.
